Il tifo nello sport

 

 

 

Con lo svolgersi del campionato mondiale proprio ora, il mondo è scosso dalla febbre calcistica. Abbiamo visto datori di lavoro lasciare giorni liberi agli impiegati, pub vendere pinte a poco prezzo e tifosi darsi alla pazza gioia per le strade. La domanda della maggior parte delle persone è perché lo sport sembra permettere quasi ogni cosa, finché è nel nome del patriottismo. Guardandolo come niente di più che 90 minuti di idiozie, alcuni credono che lo sport debba essere visto a casa senza disturbare il mondo esterno, dove le cose normali continuano ad accadere. Comunque, con così tante persone che sostengono la loro bandiera nazionale, ci sono molti che amerebbero far risuonare il loro inno nazionale dalle loro case tutto il giorno. E con questi eventi così poco numerosi e così lontani tra loro qual è il motivo per cui guardare la squadra di cui si è orgogliosi nel proprio giorno libero?

With the world cup taking place right now, the world is shaking with football fever. We’ve seen employers let employees take days off, pubs selling cheaper pints, and supporters going wild in the streets. Many people question why sport seems to let almost anything go, as long as it’s in the name of patriotism. Seeing it as nothing more than 90 minutes of rubbish, some believe that sports should be watched at home, and not disturb the world outside, where normal things are happening. However, with so many people getting behind their national flag there are many who would love to blare their national anthem from their houses all day. And with these events being so few and far between, what’s the issue with a day off to watch your team do you proud?
